Product Native : This product is from the famous port town of Parangipettai (TamilNadu, India) which is famously called as Porto Nova during Portuguese rule. During the period of Tamil Kings of Chola Dynasty this port is used to be the point of entry for Mughals. Thus this dish got introduced to this town from Mughals. 

Speciality : Halwa can be easily classified as the most popular sweet in TamilNadu. There were almost 50 types of Halwa varieties that are evolved at different time periods. Among all the varieties this Parangipettai earned a special place because of its unique way of preparation. This Halwa is made using the milk taken from the Samba Wheat. Thus it add up to the flavor and taste. This Parangipettai halwa is from a traditional family who are making it as a home made preparation for more than 60 years. This is made without additional food colors or any other additives.
